Update from Globetree (2000 Laureate)

Dear Marilyn,
 
I’m just now back from Nairobi and the preparations for the Children’s Garden tour to Sweden 18 – 30 September.
I have rehearsed with the 13 persons in the play Our Life. It’s a very good play based on the children’s own life experiences.
All will participate in Globetree’s Yearly Globedays 21 – 22 September when we start building the World Home which will travel to the UN, Nairobi in November and meet with Mayors, children and teachers from 7 cities in the Lake Victoria Region. The final destination for the World Home is at the European Commission 2012.
 
I’m happy to hear you wish to join the World Championship in Cooperation in Kuala Lumpur.
The dates for the WorldCiC is set for 2 – 7 July 2010.
 
BUT there are problems with the finance of the event. We will get information by the end of September if the Tree Theatre Group will manage to have the event next year or if they will need to push it to 2011.
They have come very far in their cooperation with the Mayor of KL and the organisation.
The funding is difficult due to the financial crisis which was not foreseen when the planning started 2007.
 
Let’s pray TTG will manage despite all obstacles!
