Pemasky - Kuna Wildlands Project

Pemasky - Kuna Wildlands Project

This project, launched in 1981, was conceived and is being implemented by an indigenous group, the Kuna Indians of Comarca, San Blas, Panama.

The group is managing a 40,000 hectare primary forest which for centuries has provided the tribe's livelihood. It is an example of the world conservation strategy in action.
