David Wingate

David Wingate

For the past three decades Dr. Wingate, a zoologist, has implemented many conservation projects in Bermuda. In 1962 he restored Nonesuch Island by planting 6,000 indigenous trees and shrubs, thus creating a "living museum".

His work on oceanic birds and the reintroduction of the green turtle in Bermuda has earned him international recognition.
